Buddy is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila, his cherished daughters Renee Greenhill and Diane Brown. Stepchildren Larry Easterling (Tami), Crystal Jacques (Jeremy) and Valerie Perdue. His very loved fur baby, Ginger. Additionally, he leaves behind a loving sister, Georgia Lemieux, and a splendid legacy of grandchildren: Ronald Saunders (Kim), Katelyn Greenhill, Amber Brown, Allison Brown, Marky Brown, Makenna Perdue, Jacob Perdue, Matthew Jacques, Kyle Jacques, and Cayden Jacques. He was also a proud great-grandfather of eight. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Thelma Saunders, his sister, Pat Gurley and his stepson, Joey Perdue. Buddy was known for his generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty. He dedicated over 20 years of his career and retired as an Inspector at POMFLANT Naval Weapon Station Goose Creek, SC, demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, showcasing his desire to give back to his community and country. He was also a Mason at the Masonic Lodge #401 in Goose Creek, SC. With a GED under his belt, Buddy pursued life with an ambition that extended beyond metrics of formal education. He was an adventurous soul who thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of NASCAR and dragstrip racing, the sounds of Conway Twitty, and the excitement of football. However, his greatest joy came from being with family, sharing stories, and creating memories filled with love and laughter. A heartfelt ceremony in his honor will be held at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, located at 281 Treeland Dr. Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
