Frank Cerra Obituary

Frank Cerra, Jr., 70, of Summerville, SC, passed away after a brief illness on June 4, 2025. He grew up in Cranford, NJ, and loved his cars, especially his '73 Corvette; all of his cars were his babies. He began his career working for General Motors Assembly Plant in Linden, NJ, and later became co-owner and Optician at MBC Eyecare in NJ with his wife, Marie Brusgard Cerra. After retiring and moving to Summerville, he continued working and helping others at Home Depot. He loved to travel to visit family and sail on many cruises for vacation. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Cerra; his brother, Tom; his sisters: Camille, Pat, and Angela; his brothers and sisters in law: Andy, Liz, Jimmy, Claire, and Ellen. He was loved by 18 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and great nephews, and many cousins. A viewing will be held at St. John the Beloved Church in Summerville at 12:30pm on Saturday, June 7, followed by a Mass at 1:30pm in the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Trident Heart Failure Clinic at Trident Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
