Diana Woloshin Obituary

Diana Maria Woloshin, 40, of Summerville, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Summerville Medical Center.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave., Summerville, SC. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church prior to Mass, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Flowers will be accepted.

Diana was born on February 7, 1981, daughter of Barbara Woloshin of Summerville and the late Thomas Woloshin. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Neumann University in Aston, PA and then went on to receive her Master's Degree from University of Scranton, in Scranton, PA.

Diana was a lifelong educator, dedicated and committed to her students-past and present-in both South Carolina and Pennsylvania. Diana's students meant everything to her, and she constantly worked to be the best possible teacher and mentor for them. In 2016, her hard work was recognized when she was awarded Teacher of the Year at College Park Elementary School.

She was also a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and enjoyed agonizing over her team on Sundays in the fall. She loved to travel, especially to see family overseas in Poland. She enjoyed doting on her dachshunds over the years, and she relished in spending time with and spoiling her niece, her nephew, and the children of her longtime boyfriend; she loved them all as though they were her own.

Survivors in addition to her mother Barbara are: longtime boyfriend, Craig Kelley of Summerville and his daughters Raven and River; sister, Joanna Schreiber (Jeffrey) of Summerville; niece and nephew: Isabella and Peter; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, both here and abroad.
