David Tretera Obituary

David A. Tretera, age 60, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on July 28, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on November 4, 1964, David was the cherished son of Helen and Allan Tretera. He graduated from Fox Lane High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. After his military service, he built a successful career as an engineer with Parker Hannifin, where he was known for his intelligence, dedication, and strong work ethic. David was a loving husband to Deborah Tretera and a proud father to his sons, Dallan Tretera, James Tretera (Alina), and Justin Tretera. He was also a devoted stepfather to Katelyn Williams (Turner). He deeply valued his family and took great joy in spending time with them. In addition to his wife and children, David is survived by his parents, Helen and Allan Tretera, his siblings, Scott Tretera (Charlene) and Jennifer Tretera-Hughes (David), multiple nieces and nephews, and his fur babies. An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. His humor, generosity, and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew him. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services. David's legacy of love, strength, and service lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
