Billy Weaver Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Billy Brandon Weaver Jr. who peacefully left this world on August 31, 2025 at the age of 68. He was the beloved son of the late Susan Weaver (Hubacher) & Billy Weaver Sr. Billy was a 1975 graduate of Sistersville High School and later pursued a degree in Music Education at Fairmont State College, where he fostered his lifelong love of music. A passionate drummer, Billy spent countless hours behind his drum kit and in his later years, enjoyed rocking out with his Peace of Mind bandmates. His love for music brought him great joy and was a source of connection for him with family and friends. After years of traveling, Billy settled in Bennettsville, SC where he spent 15 wonderful years with his wife & best friend, Angie Weaver. Together, they loved to take weekend trips in their camper with their dogs, Mollie & Fred, visiting their Grandchildren, and listening to live Blues music. Their bond was unbreakable, and Billy's love for Angie remains one of the defining joys of his life. He was also a devoted supporter of the West Virginia Mountaineers, cheering them on, his love for the team never wavered. He is survived by his siblings, adult children, grandchildren, and numerous other friends & family members who were lucky to have known him. His recent title of Papa was his most favorite. In his own words, "I lived and then I died. It is what it is." And so, his life-simple, full, and deeply loved-will always be remembered. He lived with passion, humor, and a quiet wisdom and now is reunited with his dearest Angie on the other side. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort knowing that he is finally at peace, free from pain. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, located at 281 Treeland Dr. Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456.
