Beverly McKie Obituary
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 o'clock at Knightsville United Methodist Church, 1505 Central Ave., Summerville, SC 29483. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
Beverly was born on October 29, 1946 in Valdosta, GA, daughter of the late Oliver and Florene Peters. She served as a Navy wife for 16 years. Her favorite things in life were being a wife, mom, and grandma. Beverly was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors in addition to her husband Marvin are: three children: Marvin W. McKie, Jr. (Alice) of Stewartstown, PA, Kimberly E. Lewis (Jimmie) of Summerville, and Stacy L. McKie (Mehgan Heaps) of Big Pine Key, FL; five grandchildren: Brian McKie (Johanna Barrios), Dana McKie (Joshua Huffman), Cody Lewis (Hanley), Dustin Lewis, and Sylvia McKie; two great grandchildren: Hermynee McKie and Brooklyn McKie; and two sisters: Barbara Harris (the late James) and Jane Young (Kenny). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: Carson Peters and Clyde Peters.
