Bernard Locke Obituary

Bernard Anthony Locke, son of James and Albertha Locke, was born on March 25, 1944 in Summerville, SC. Bernard was one of seven children. He departed this life in Stone Mountain, Georgia on October 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister Barbara Ann Locke and brothers, Robert Edward Scott, and Albert Earl Scott.
Bernard grew up in Summerville, SC and was a member of Brownsville Community Church of God. He graduated from Alston High School and attended Voorhees College in Denmark, SC where he received a degree in Business Administration. He was a 20-year veteran of the United States Military. Bernard's varied work experiences started with his enlistment in the Military. After his retirement from the Military he worked in education, real estate, and government.
Bernard enjoyed traveling and spent much of his leisure time traveling around the United States in his RV and escapades around the world on "Military Hops."
Bernard leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Alfonso Anthony Williams of Hollywood, CA and Teague Locke of Ellenwood, GA; a brother, Winfred Locke of North Charleston, SC; two sisters, Helen Greene of St. Albans, NY and Cassandra Walker of Rialto, CA; a caring and special cousin, Gloria Gayters; devoted sister in-law, Evelyn Locke; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
