Anthony DeLucia Obituary

Anthony DeLucia, 58, of Summerville, South Carolina, formerly of Rockland County, New York, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 2pm to 3pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. A memorial service will begin in the Chapel at 3:00pm. Born in the Bronx and raised in Rockland County, Anthony carried the strength and spirit of New York with him throughout his life. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 30 years, Deborah Hickey, who remained faithfully by his side through every chapter. He was a loving father to Jonah Delucia, and a proud stepfather to Nicole Shaffer and AJ Hickey. He also leaves behind his cherished mother, Mary Aramondo, and five beloved grandchildren: AJ Hickey Jr., Kaylyn Hickey, Sofia Shaffer, Ben Shaffer, and Sam Shaffer. Anthony was known for his quick wit and his deep love of movies - rarely missing a chance to quote a favorite line or deliver a perfectly timed joke. His sense of humor and easygoing nature made everyone feel welcome and at ease. He had a fierce devotion to his family and a deep loyalty to those he loved. His memory will live on in the many stories, laughs, and movie quotes shared by those fortunate enough to know him.
