Winston Martin Obituary

Winston Martin, 77, of Duncan, SC, passed away on February 13, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

His life began in Clarendon Jamaica where he was born and raised with the vibrant spirit, determination, and culture pride that would stay with him through his life. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, a place that helped shaped his character and set the foundation for the man he would become. After completing his education, he made the bold decision to relocate to Miami, FL, embracing new opportunities while carrying the heart of Jamaica with him. His journey later brought him to Spartanburg, SC, where he built a life rooted in love, resilience, and family. He shared his life with his devoted spouse Jennifer Palmer, whose unwavering support and companionship were constant in his world.

At home, he was surrounded by the love of his daughter Shynia Palmer, who resided with him and brought joy and comfort to his everyday life. He is also lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jacqueline Sewell of Jamaica, Lakeisha Martin of Spartanburg, and Dee Dee Wilson of Travelers Rest; his sons, Marcus Benson, and Shyking Johnson; son-in-law, Tyson Miller, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

His family was his pride, and he carried their accomplishments, their laughter, and their dreams with him wherever he went. Thos who knew him will remember his quiet strength, his gentle humor, and warmth he extended to everyone around him. He lived with purpose and left an imprint on every life he touched.

His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the lessons passed down, and the love he poured into his family. May he rest in peace.
