Wilton Davenport Obituary

Wilton Levis Davenport, Jr., 78, husband of Maryjo Davenport, died Friday,December 26, 2025.
Born in Belton, SC, he was the son of the late Wilton and Idell Owens Davenport, Sr.
Buddy Buddy lived his life with a spirit of kindness and generosity that touched all who knew him. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. His dedication to service extended beyond the battlefield, as he was also a valued member of the Palmetto Masonic Lodge No. 19, A.F.M., where he fostered brotherhood and camaraderie among his peers. An avid fan of University of Alabama football team, Buddy Buddy passionately cheered for his team, ROLL TIDE!!
His greatest joy though came from his family. He was a doting grandfather, whose love and affection for his grandchildren knew no bounds. A true friend to all, he was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, often going out of his way to uplift strangers with his warmth and kindness.
He is survived by his children, daughters Melinda Seymour and Teresa McCullough (Mike), sons Tim Norton (Darlene) and Wilton Davenport, III; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Bobby Davenport.
