Wallace Turner Obituary

Wallace Earl Turner, 91, beloved husband of the late Jean Turner, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, Wallace was the son of the late Earl and Louise Wade Turner. He was a proud graduate of Travelers Rest High School and the longtime owner of Berea Insurance Agency, where he served his community with dedication and integrity. A lifelong member of Parisview Baptist Church-formerly Union Bleachery, Wallace was deeply involved in church life. He served faithfully as a deacon for many years and cherished the fellowship of his church family. His unwavering faith and devotion were central to his life. Wallace was a loving husband and a devoted father, known for his strong work ethic, deep faith, and steadfast family values. He was a man of great character whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many. He will be forever missed, but his legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to live on in all who knew him. He is survived by son Wallace Turner, Jr.; brothers Houston Turner (Geraldine) and Ronald Turner (Becky); niece, Sherri Turner Price; and nephews, Matthew Turner and Steve Smith. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Janette Smith. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 6, at 3:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, with entombment to follow.
