His Life Journey
Timothy Bogan, affectionately known as "Timmy," was born on December 18, 1963, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Willie Haney and the late Carrie E. Bates. He was educated in the Spartanburg County School System and was a proud 1982 graduate of Spartanburg High School.
Timothy was employed for many years at Siemens, where he worked as a machine operator on the assembly line. Known for his quiet and reserved nature, he found joy in simple pleasures. He loved watching sports, was an excellent cook, and was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the New York Yankees.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather Oliver Bates; brothers James N. Bogan, Dwight J. Bogan, and Ronnie Bogan; and sister Cheryl Haney.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his sons, Travis Tolliver and Adrian Bogan, both of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Asheley Palmer of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Harriett (Benjamin) Means of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Wilkes Haney of Spartanburg, SC; stepsister, Debra Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; stepbrother, John Richardson;
aunts, Willie Mae Scott and Rachel Gaston, both of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren: Kymiah Tolliver, Mykiah Tolliver, Iyani Tolliver, Zy'Quasia Tolliver, KJ Stephens, Travis Tolliver Jr., Jaden Tomlinson, A'lexia Bogan, and Adarian Bogan; great-grandchildren: Charm Cheeks, Ti'khi Cheeks, and Ky'mir Cheeks;
stepmother, Mary Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
On the evening of Friday, April 18, 2025, Timothy peacefully transitioned at Spartanburg Medical Center. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
