Thomas Michael Hansen, devoted husband of 54 years to Linda Hansen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the age of 78. He was the son of the late John and Helen Hansen.
In addition to his beloved wife, Linda, he is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Kellie) Hansen of Hamburg, NY; Kevin (Shannon) Hansen of
Greenville, SC. Along with his brother, John (Terri) Hansen; and grandchildren, Ashlie, Olyvia, McKella, Kalder, Brycen and Greenlee.
Tom was born on March 6, 1947, in Jersey City, NJ, and was a longtime resident of Hamburg, NY along with many years in Lawrenceville, GA. He raised his family, with Linda, in Hamburg and would always proudly call that home. Tom was also a proud veteran having served a stint in the Army in California serving our country.
His love for his family was unmatched. Tom's dedication to supporting Linda along with the love and support he showed to Jeff and Kevin was second to none. He was so proud at their success in school and sports growing up, and later on in life with their families and careers there was nothing that made him happier. Jeff and Kevin were most proud of what an amazing role model and incredible father he was giving them the roadmap to raising their own families. He was so proud of his grandchildren and their success's. Nothing made him happier than to hear the grandkids talk about their accomplishments and future plans.
Tom lived a life defined by integrity, dedication, and quiet strength. His 40-year career at the same company, Habasit Belting, through multiple positions and splitting his career between Buffalo, NY and Suwanee, GA, showed his dedication to those he cared for and his unmatched work ethic to serve his co-workers and customers. His steady presence, wisdom, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Tom will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, sportsmanship, care for others, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
