Sybil Odom Obituary

Dianne Odom, 76, beloved wife of Pete Odom, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. Born in Greer SC, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Ida Price Dobbins. Dianne was a proud graduate of Greer High School. She worked at Augusta Road Bingo, where she found joy in both her work and her passion for the game. A woman who appreciated the simple beauty of life, she enjoyed tending to her garden, especially her flowers, and found peace in her Zen garden. Above all, Dianne cherished her family. They were the center of her world, and her love for them was unwavering. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by daughter, Denise Reaves; son-in-law Daryl Reaves; grandchildren, Logan (Dustin Hand) Lockhart; Damon (Jenna) Lockhart; and Braden Lockhart; great-grandchildren, Liam Hancock and Elaina Lockhart; and sister, Judy Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death siblings, Jerry, Bobbi, and Rolland Dobbins. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest Chapel. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
