Celebrating the beautiful life of Shalesia Juawana Mattison-Green
Ms. Shalesia Juawana Mattison-Green, born on January 10, 1982, in Anderson, SC was an influence and a ray of light to many people. She was a born entrepreneur. She proved this by later becoming a licensed cosmetologist and opening her very own beauty salon, and through her cosmetology licenses also became an instructor. Venturing from the world of hair, Juawana became a realtor and started J & D Rental and Leasing. She was also a wedding planner.
Shalesia leaves to cherish her memories, two children, Delone White, Jr., and Travia Green; godchildren, Santaysha McDuffie, and Santanesha McDuffie, Jayla Jones, and Jacquan Cowan; mother, Lesia L. Williams (James); siblings, Meisha J. Mattison-Scotland (David), Cherish M. Banks, Larecius A. Mattison, reared in the home, Brantley Adams, of Raleigh, NC, and Cortez Williams, of Atlanta, Ga; grandparents, Barbara Mattison, and Helen S. Durham; nieces and nephews, Malachi and Jeremiah Scotland, Khiasia Hatton, and Kamdyn Gaines; and a host of relatives and friends whom loved her.
Shalesia was preceded in death by her father, Rodney L. Durham; grandparents, James 'Pop' Mattison, Leroy Durham, Frank and Louise Thompson Mattison, William M. and Laurene Rucker Swinger, and Doug W. Swinger.
The family is at 104 Foghorn Court, Williamston, SC 29697.
The service for Mrs. Green will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm at King David Baptist Church, Anderson, SC. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Public Viewing: The Unity Mortuary of Anderson on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
