Sara Henderson Obituary

Sara Hudson Henderson, 97, ascended into heaven on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 while surrounded by her loved ones. Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Henderson; son, Timothy Henderson; parents, Alvin and Maude Hudson; sisters, Mildren Wynn and Nell Hudson Clark; and one brother, John Hudson. She is survived by two brothers, Alvin "Bud" Hudson (Rose) and Joe Hudson (Chris); and sister-in-law, Juanita Hudson (John). Sara was a founding and dedicated member of Five Forks Baptist Church in Simpsonville, serving in the nursery of the church for generations. She most recently retired from CVS Five Forks where she worked until age 93. She also retired from Fiber Industries, Hewlitt Packard and Digital where she was a supervisor. She was a dedicated employee who never missed a day of work. Sara was an avid reader and a lover of cats. She loved family get togethers where she spent time with her nieces, nephews, great nephews, brothers, sister-in-law, and other family and friends. Sara will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Five Forks Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be Five Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
