Sara Frances Helton Barrett, 68, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Boyce Franklin and Nancy Elizabeth Pittman Helton and the wife of James Terry Barrett. She was a homemaker, retired from Hayssen in Duncan and previously employed with C & C Machine.
Survivors also include her son, Shane Helton and wife, Kimberly; her daughter, Michelle McCoy and husband, Bill; a brother, Leon Helton; a sister, Susan Bryant; nine grandchildren, Tori Helton, Destiny Stone (Justin), Hunter Key (Taylor), Jackson Helton, James McCoy, Ivorey McCoy, Hailey McCoy, Austin McCoy and Tyler McCoy; and three great-grandchildren, Briar Key, River Key and Mariah Warren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Brianna Turner; and two brothers, Donnie Helton and Dennis Helton.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Alexander officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12PM until 1PM prior to the service.
Interment will be at Wood Memorial Park.
