Sallie Robinson Obituary

Sallie Prudence Robinson was born on August 9, 1924, to the late Richard Lee and Lillian Agnew in Williamston, SC. Sallie attended Carolina High School, and earned her beautician license at a school in Orangeburg, SC. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church since the age of 15. Sallie married Kellie Robinson in 1945 who later passed in 1990. She had 2 children, Lester Robinson and Minnie Vaughn; and raised 3 additional children, Eric Robinson, Minnie Pearl Robinson, and Margaret Ann Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories 6 grandchildren, Omar Robinson, Cherri Kinard, Erika Robinson, Kim Burns, Shaunda Robinson, and Melvin Vaughn, Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Sallie is preceded in death by her siblings, Viola Madden, Richard Lee, Lewis Lee, Bessie Woodson, Jessie Silver, Mary Williams, and James Lee. Her faith is the key to a long life, and also her strong love for people, children, and Dr. Pepper. She was extremely generous, loved children, took in and cared for many children as her own, loved cooking (especially chocolate cake). Miss Sallie, thank you for loving my Uncle Willard next door and my grandmother Juanita Jones and my great grandmother Josephine Hamilton Jones Martin. I love you and I'm sorry I cannot be there in person to pay respects to the family. But you've never been forgotten, always loved and admired. I've known your name my whole life I was raised with you in my heart and mind and your name in my head. Love Marlena Robinson
