Robert Delegatti Obituary

Robert L. Delegatti, 88, beloved husband of the late Lorene Delegatti, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late William and Madeline Weaver Delegatti. Robert was a proud Army veteran and a faithful member of Paris View Baptist Church. He was a man of many talents and known for his ability to fix just about anything and for his love of the outdoors. A devoted sports fan, he especially cheered for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Clemson Tigers, and the Atlanta Braves. He had a sweet tooth, with a special fondness for chocolate cake, and enjoyed the companionship of his best friend, his cat Tom. Above all, Robert was a family man who cherished his loved ones beyond measure, and in turn, was deeply loved by them. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, remembered for his integrity, strong faith, and the immense love he poured into his family. His kindness, warmth, and steady presence will be greatly missed. He is survived by sons, Richard Delegatti (Rita) and David Delegatti (Brenda): grandsons, Daniel Delegatti and Dustin Delegatti; granddaughter, Brittany Norris (Steven); and brother, Jimmy Delegatti. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Matthew Delegatti; and sister, Doris Monroe. The visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
