Rob Robertson Obituary

SFC Frederick Darrell "Rob" Robertson, US Army Ret., 82, husband of the late Nancy Wilson Robertson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded by his daughters and granddaughters. Mr. Robertson was born in Burlington, VT to the late William George Robertson and Irene Grace Bombard Robertson. Rob served three tours in Vietnam and was proud to be a patriot and a veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 9273 and Moose Lodge 1472. Rob loved the outdoors – including bird watching, camping, sitting on the front porch, and trips to the beach. He enjoyed traveling, gambling, cards, reading and watching Gunsmoke. Rob's greatest joy was being Papa to his grandchildren. Surviving are a son, Bill Robertson; two daughters, Lynn Robertson (Keith) and Lisa Panzino; six grandchildren, Caitlyn (Dylan), Sarah, Brianna, Allyson (Devin), Heather, and Sean; eleven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Dylan Jr., Vivienne, Spencer, Luna, Peyton, Layla, Shauna, Nolan, Lucas and Elan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ken Robertson; three sisters, Judy Audette, Betty Kilbourn, and Fran Cusson; a brother-in-law, Ron Audette; and a son-in-law, Joe Panzino. A celebration of Rob's life will begin at 5:30 PM Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Military Honors will be provided by the US Army Honor Guard.
