Richard Medlock Obituary

John Richard Medlock, Sr., 94, husband of the late Margie Elizabeth Dill Medlock, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 30, 2025. A native of Taylors, South Carolina, son of the late Nathaniel and Hallie Black Medlock, he was a retired automotive salesman and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Rick Medlock (Brenda) of Greer; two daughters, Suzanne Satterfield (Stephen) of Greer and Beth Patterson (David) of Laurens; five grandchildren, Jonathan Patterson (Laura), Blake Patterson (Brooke), Kristine White (Matthew), Tara Davis (Andre), and Tyler Satterfield (Emily); and nine great-grandchildren and one on the way. Mr. Medlock was predeceased by a brother, Nathaniel Evans Medlock and a sister Hallie Willette Miller. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Paul Welch, Dr. Bob Atwell, and Dr. Gene Lockaby. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church.
