Rhoda Gibson Obituary
Mrs. Rhoda Gibson, widow of the late Stanley Gibson, daughter of the late John Collier and Maggie G. Brooks, passed Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories include her daughter, Amy Davis of Greenville, SC; grandson, Jarrad (Kelsey) Davis of Orlando, FL; brother Grant Brooks of Travelers Rest, SC; sisters-in-law, Mallie Brooks and Jean Lewis both of Travelers Rest, SC; great grandchildren, Yris Davis, Flame Davis and Titus Davis; along with a host of other family and friends.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lillie Mae Bowen, Azalee Cox, Ophelia Johnson, Grady Brooks, Sr., Minnie Grace Merchison, Crawford Brooks, Ernestine Brooks, Lorene Brooks, Virginia Jones and Sherwood Brooks.
Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, 11:00 AM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Public viewing will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the mortuary.
