Rebecca Lease Obituary

Rebecca "Becky" Jane Lease, 48, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. She was born on June, 24, 1977 in Oakland, CA to Bena Lease and the late Daniel Lease. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carl and Mildred Brazell; and her paternal grandparents, Royal and Jessie Lease. As well as her beloved mother, Bena, she is survived by her very close extended family, Don, Shannon, and Katie Coker. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends. Becky loved everybody. There were no strangers - just friends she hadn't met yet. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved going to church and going out to eat, especially Mexican. She also loved horseback riding and Dr. Suess books. She hugged everyone that she met. Becky lived in a Thrive Upstate group home with her three roommates, Susan Shook, Sandy West, and Stacey Mahaffay, and absolutely loved it. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m at Mauldin Church of Christ with the memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mauldin Church of Christ by mailing to 4 Gillin Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
