Rebecca Ann Brown, born December 28, 1953, in
Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Rebecca was married for over 18 years to the love of her life, Tommy. She spent many years working in the Greenville County School District cafeteria, where she found joy in serving and caring for children. She cherished her own children, her beloved "Tommy," and her entire family.
Known as "Nana" to her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Rebecca was selfless and carried a true servant's heart. A devoted Baptist, she regularly fostered children who were less fortunate and never took a single day for granted. Her greatest joy in life was caring for others, and her children often witnessed her giving generously-even to complete strangers, especially children in need.
Rebecca was an avid gardener who took great pride in her rose bushes. She loved to cook and host family gatherings at her home on Ruby Drive in Berea, where countless memories were made. There was truly nothing she could not do.
She enjoyed trips to Brevard, Pisgah Forest, and Twin Lakes, loved fishing, and was a proud supporter of Gamecock football.
She is survived by sons Jon Baker, Christopher Brown,, Tommy Brown Jr., and Jonathan Dale Brown: daughters, Wendy Underwood and Crystal Alexander (Terry); brother, Ronald Westbrooks; sister, Judy Riddle; and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy Brown, Sr., father, James (Harrison) Westbrooks, Sr.; mother, Doris Surrett; sisters, Brenda Kay Westbrooks and Deborah Westbrooks; and brother, James Westbrooks, Jr.
