Paul Gardner Obituary

Paul Anthony Gardner was born on December 27, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Paul D. McKinney and the late Shirley Ann Norris. He received his education in the Spartanburg County School District and graduated from Chesnee High School, where he was known for his athleticism, especially on the basketball court. Paul was a man of humor and heart. Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter he had a special gift for making others smile. He never met a stranger and was beloved for his generous spirit and unwavering love for his family. Light blue was his favorite color. He was a faithful member of Brooklyn CME Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Ann Norris and Paul D. McKinney. Paul leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him including his wife, Sheila Gardner of Chesnee, SC; sons, Brandon Gardner of Duncan, SC and Tarrell O'Fair; daughters, Brittany (Connor) Williams of Inman SC and Alex (Shalamar) Lyles-Dawkins of Chesnee, SC; step father Raymond Joe Norris; grandchildren, Tyran O'Fair, Cole O'Fair, Micah Williams, Myah Williams, Mylo Williams, and Virie O'Fair; as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends. On June 5, 2025, Paul peacefully transitioned at his home. He will be deeply missed yet forever remembered. To send flowers to the family, please visit our floral store.
