Naomi Anderson Obituary

Naomi Louise Somero Anderson, 74, entered heavenly rest on September 16, 2025, after walking a courageous journey with cancer, surrounded by family. Noami was born May 24, 1951, and was the daughter of Levi and Edith Somero of New Ipswich, New Hampshire. She attended Appleton Academy and Masonic Regional Schools where she graduated in 1969. Naomi was known for her love of many things but above all else was the love for her family, friends, and her Lord and Savior. Her servant heart, contagious laughter, and smile will be greatly missed. To know her was to love her. She married the love of her life, Howard Anderson, on October 2, 1972. Together, they raised their family of five children, Melissa Lampinen-Maki (Erick) of Greer, South Carolina, Amanda Kinnunen (Randel) of Belleview, Florida, Jill Kinnunen (Jesse) of Greer, South Carolina, Matthew Anderson (Tara) of Greer, South Carolina, and Michael Anderson (Ashlee) of Wasilla, Alaska. Naomi is survived by her five children along with their spouse, fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, one sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Anderson, parents, Levi and Edith Somero, brother, Ronald Somero, and son-in-law, Daniel Lampinen. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Dan Hoard, Pastor Bob Hakala, and Pastor Arvi Aho. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church. Pallbearers will be Matt Anderson, Mike Anderson, Trent Lampinen, Shaun Kinnunen, Kevin Kinnunen, and Sam Kinnunen. Honorary escorts will be Jesse Kinnunen, Randy Kinnunen, Tristan Whitted, Wesley Stenersen, Erick Maki, and Owen Kinnunen. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Missy Lampinen-Maki.
