Nancy Elise Rodgers Robertshaw, 85, devoted wife of over 56 years to the late Wilfred "Will" Robertshaw, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025.
Born in Greer, SC, Nancy was the daughter of the late Walter Waverly Rodgers, Jr. and Sarah Evelyn Keith Rodgers Easterling. She attended Greenville High School and Winthrop University.
She cherished the adventurous days spent riding dirt bikes in the mountains with her brothers, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Nancy's love for sports was evident in her passion for playing tennis and occasional rounds of golf. She was a very devoted fan of the Clemson Tigers.
She had a special bond with animals, particularly her beloved dachshunds, who were a cherished part of her life and brought her immeasurable joy.
Nancy was a vibrant spirit who embraced life with courage. As a testament to her adventurous spirit, Nancy bravely went skydiving in her early and mid-70s, proving that a zest for life knows no age.
Her kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter were a source of comfort and strength to her loved ones, and will forever be cherished in the hearts of her brother, Walter "Walt" Rodgers, III and his wife, Cathay; sisters-in-love, Joy Rodgers and Carol Norment; two nephews, Walter Rodgers, IV, and Keith Rodgers; great niece, Lynleigh Rodgers; and great nephew Griffin Rodgers.
In addition to her parents and her wonderful husband, Will, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Rodgers.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown.
A private entombment will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
