Nancy Pruitt Obituary

Nancy Carol Pruitt, 93, beloved wife of the late Carl Edward Pruitt, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Cleophus and Ruby Browning Wood. Nancy worked for many years as a security guard and was known for her strong work ethic and unwavering sense of responsibility. A devoted member of Edgewood Church of Christ, Nancy's faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She loved her church family deeply and lived out her values with grace, humility, and strength. Her life was a testament to faith, family, and service. Nancy was deeply loved and will be forever missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son Carl "Eddie" Pruitt; sisters, Elaine Jackson, Mildred Wood, Catherine Rice, and Frances Young; and brothers, Hugh Wood and Harold Wood. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Edgewood Church of Christ with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West. Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Nancy with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory".
