Millard Goodnough Jr. Obituary

Millard B. Goodnough Jr., a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 4, 2025, just shy of his 84th birthday. Millard was born on August 18, 1941, in Simpsonville, SC, the only son of the late Millard B. Goodnough, Sr. and Jessie Goodnough. He spent his career as a quality control specialist at Michelin, where he was a hard worker and took great pride in ensuring the quality of his work. Later, Millard would find great joy, for 20 years, working with his second family at The Embassy Suites. He was also a Veteran of the US Army. He was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Margaret Masters Goodnough; his sons, Brian (Susan) Goodnough and Joshua (Sarah) Goodnough. He was a proud papa to three wonderful grandchildren: Leah, WIlliam, and Matthew, who brought him immense joy and happiness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jervase Williamson and Sharyn Traylor. In honor of Millard's life, a memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Harper Chapel, on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation immediately following the service. Millard will be laid to rest at a private family service at Graceland East Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Millard's memory to Miracle Hill Ministries. Rest in peace, Millard. Your love and memory will forever remain in our hearts.
