Mary Duckett Obituary

Mary F. Duckett, 85, longtime resident of Greenville, transitioned to the realm of the ancestors on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Born in Enoree, SC, she was the daughter of the late Evans and Allean Gilliam Duckett.
She is survived by her son, Demetric Duckett; grandson, Omar Duckett; sisters, Gearlene Jefferies, Paula Horton, and Jacqueline Garrett (Eric); devoted nephew, Mario Jefferies; special goddaughter, Jackie Brown (Mike); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Barton Duckett and sister, Gwendolyn Gray.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service will be held in the spring. Friends, relatives, and members of the Greenville community are welcome to come and view the earthly remains of our beloved Mary F. Duckett on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 and Friday, November 28, 2025, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Downtown Chapel, 639 N. Main St., Greenville, SC 29601.
Family and friends who are unable to attend the graveside service may view the Livestream by clicking on the "WATCH EVENT" button located in the Services section.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Neighborhood Cancer Connection, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605, or the charity of one's choice, especially ones that take care of children.
