Mary and John Bak blessed us with their friendship for over 27 years. We met them as neighbors, and even after we moved to a different part of town, we'd make a point of having each other over. We cherished these visits and are grateful for the memories we made together. Mary was an inspired baker, and she'd surprise us with one of her delicious creative desserts. (She shared the recipes, and we still enjoy them.) She gave us plants, and it makes us happy to see them thriving in our garden. Simply put, Mary was unfailingly kind and generous. We consider ourselves privileged to have known her, and we will miss her terribly.
As Pope Francis once said, death is not the end of everything. It is the beginning of something that will never end: ETERNAL LIFE.
