Marion Ward Obituary
A native of Pelham, son of the late Ralph Nolan and Lottie Elizabeth Pittman Ward, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employe of WR Grace, a longtime member of Pelham First Baptist Church, and one of the founding members of Pelham Batesville Fire Department.
Surviving are two daughters, Paula Sherbert of Greer and Shelia Heckethorn (Steve) of Greer; three grandchildren, Brandon Edge (Christin), Lauren McCarter (Kevin Duckworth), and Trent Howard; and two great-grandsons, Eli Edge and Owen Duckworth.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Norma Anders Ward.
A cryptside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Patrick Clark.
Honorary escort will be Pelham Batesville Fire Department.
The family is at the home of Brandon Edge, 229 Penick Drive, Duncan, South Carolina 29334.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pelham First Baptist Church Ministry Meal Mission, 8595 Pelham Road, Suite 400, Box 311, Greenville, South Carolina 29615.
