Margie Burrell Obituary

Margie Lee Burrell, 100, a lifelong resident of Greenville and beloved wife of the late Elbert Burrell, went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Born in Paw Creek, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Clara Thompson West. Margie was employed by Alice Manufacturing Company for many years. A devoted member of Park Place Church of God, Margie served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher and worked lovingly with the children of the church. Her deep love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life. She lived out her faith through her kindness, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and church. If you knew Margie, you loved her. She was a woman of profound faith, strong family values, and a gentle spirit. She was a wonderful wife and a blessing to all who knew her. Margie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Park Place Church of God, with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West.
