Margaret Westmoreland Obituary

Margaret Ellen Brown Westmoreland, 83, wife of Blant Curtis Westmoreland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born in Travelers Rest, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Jackson Brown, Jr. and Mary Louise Freeland Brown Jones.
Margaret was a nurse for Douglas Owens, MD in Greer for 27 years and the go to person for her family whenever they had health questions. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, shopping, and watching sports. Margaret had a passion for her family and church. "MaMa" tradition was to give her grandchildren Christmas ornament every year.
In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Westmoreland and Mary Camp (Eddie); son, William Westmoreland; a great niece and nephew she helped raise, Ranae Sloan (Bret) and Daniel Parks (Brooke); seven grandchildren, Mary Walker (Tyler), Shyanne Marlow, Norah Taylor Kelly (Jack), Emma Fields Westmoreland, Hunter Camp (Katie), Christopher Camp, and Patrick Camp; her great niece and nephew's children she considered her extended grandchildren, Jonathan Sloan, Ethan Sloan, Aiden Sloan, and Cassidy Parks; two great grandchildren, Drew Walker and Thomas Camp; and a brother, Earl Jones (Nancy). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Becky Lessor.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at GracePoint Church, 319 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville. A private burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Greer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margaret's honor to the American Cancer Society.
