Linda Shaw Obituary
Linda Shaw, 77, a woman whose life was defined by love, family, and faith, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Easley, South Carolina. Born on January 12, 1948, Linda carried an unshakable devotion to those she loved and an endless generosity of spirit that touched every person who had the privilege of knowing her.
At the center of Linda's world was her family, whom she cherished beyond measure. She was the proud mother of two sons, Neil Thomas Shaw II (Holly J. Shaw, née Shotwell) of Washington, Michigan, and Scott Shaw (Angela Shaw) of River Vale, New Jersey. Nothing brought her greater joy than being "Grandma" to Mitchel, Riley, Neil III, Ethan, Kendall, Adam, and Mackenzie. Each grandchild was a source of endless pride and delight. Linda found joy in the small, thoughtful acts of devotion-live-streaming Friday night football games so she would never miss a play, applauding every dance recital as if it were Broadway, and making sure each birthday began with a warm phone call. To her children and grandchildren, Linda was more than a mother and grandmother; she was a steady presence, a cheerleader, and an unwavering source of love.
Linda also poured her compassion into her professional life. As a reflexologist and massage therapist at Upstate Reflexology, she touched lives not only with her skilled hands but also with her genuine heart. For Linda, her work was never just a career-it was a calling. Clients quickly became dear friends, drawn in by her warmth and the comfort of her care. Outside of her practice, she extended that same creative energy into crafting, crocheting, and knitting. Every stitch and every handmade gift reflected her dedication and love, a tangible reminder of the care she carried into all areas of her life.
Her strong faith was the quiet but powerful thread woven through everything she did. It guided her compassion, gave her strength during difficult times, and reminded those around her of the beauty of grace, patience, and forgiveness. Linda's faith was not only something she practiced but something she lived, making everyone she met feel valued and embraced.
Linda is survived by her beloved sons and daughters-in-law; her seven adoring grandchildren; and her siblings, John Pacler, David Pacler, Janice Tow, and Sharen Toepel.
She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, John and Agnes Pacler and her siblings, Mary Ann Pacler, Beverly Shaw, and Gerald Pacler.
To those who knew her best, Linda will be remembered as a woman of remarkable warmth, unwavering devotion, and a heart that never stopped giving. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, the family she treasured, and the love she so freely shared.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at a later date in Michigan.
