Linda Matthews Obituary

Linda Weeks Matthews, 80, passed away July 21, 2025. A native of Union, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Luther and Doris Garner Weeks, she was a retired employee of Kemet Technology after 34 years of service. After retirement, she worked at Lyman Elementary School in the After School Program. She was a member of His Vineyard. Surviving are two sons, Randall W. Matthews (Barbara) of Pauline and Mark T. Matthews (Linda) of Greer; a brother, Johnny Ray Weeks of Greer; a sister-in-law, Sherrie Weeks; four grandchildren, Joshua Wayne Matthews (Jacqueline) of Greer, Randall Kyle Matthews (Heather) of Wellford, Katelyn Elizabeth Matthews (Daniel Bailey) of Lyman, and Luke Thomas Matthews of Lyman; seven great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Dylan, Kristen, Creighton, Andrew, Charles, and John Dillon; and many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. She leaves behind many friends that she has maintained a close relationship with over the years. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Terry Weeks and William Caroll "Billy" Weeks. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at His Vineyard conducted by Dr. Keith Kelly. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at their respective homes.
