Linda Aiken Obituary

Linda Faye Aiken, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 19, 1948, she was a daughter of Sherman Lee and Marie Tolbert Johnson. Faye filled the hearts of those around her with love, kindness, and an unyielding spirit. A lifelong resident of Greenville, South Carolina, and member of Berea First Baptist Church. She was known for her humility and deep commitment to her faith and family. Faye received great happiness from family gatherings, sharing cherished memories of vacations spent at the beach, enjoying tranquil days at the lake, and exploring the beauty of the mountains. She had a passion for shopping and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Faye's love for her grandchildren was immeasurable; she took great pride in supporting their dreams and celebrating their milestones. Faye is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Aiken; son, Jason Aiken (Kristel); daughter, Angela Drafts (Chris); two cherished grandchildren, Aaron Aiken and Lauren Drafts; sister, Florence Johnson; and her grand dog, Maggie Mae, who brought her immense joy. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Johnson; a grandson, Michael Lee Aiken; and her beloved cat, Charlie. A visitation will be held from 12:45 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 1:45 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Pruitt Hospice, 301 Halton Road, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29607.
