Le Chi Smith Obituary

Le Thi Chi "Nhung" Smith, 79, loving wife of George David Smith, Sr. for 56 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025. Mrs. Smith was born in Quang Nghi, Vietnam to the late But Le and Thi Tri Truong. She was a devote Christian and member of Standing Springs Baptist Church and the Terry Page Sunday School class. Nhung enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was an Elvis fan and a collector of his memorabilia. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, David Smith II with wife Myra; a daughter, Kim Chi Smith Wall; two sisters, Kinh Thi Le with late husband Tiet Tran, and Nhuc Thi Le with late husband Quoi Huynh; six grandchildren, Zoe Damia Smith, Daniel David Smith, Grady Lee Smith II, Alexis Hailey Wall, Krista Rylie Wall, Dylan Blake Wall and multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Toan Van Le, Hau Van Le, Bong Van Le, and Quang Vinh Le; and three sisters, Hiep Thi Le, Loc Thi Le, and Quoi Thi Le. A celebration of Nhung's life will begin at 12 noon Tuesday at Standing Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Michael Beeks and music by Frank Dooley. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials in Nhung's honor may be made to Standing Springs Baptist Church, 1111 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
