Laura Ellen Brysacz, a deeply beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 70. Laura's life was a beautiful reflection of love, devotion, and quiet strength. She touched countless lives with her warmth and generosity, and her memory will be treasured always by those who knew and loved her.
Laura was born on December 30, 1955, in
Cleveland, Ohio, and was the cherished daughter of the late Donald and Eleanor (Smolinski) Brysacz. From an early age, she carried a spirit of determination and kindness that would define her life.
Laura was a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where she enthusiastically supported her beloved Buckeyes and formed lifelong friendships as a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Her passion for learning led her to continue her education at National Louis University, where she earned her master's degree with an exceptional 4.0 GPA - a testament to her dedication and perseverance. Professionally, Laura built a meaningful career as a Territory Manager in the first aid and medical industry, where her hard work and compassion left a lasting impression on colleagues and the communities she served.
A resident of
Greer, South Carolina, Laura created more than just a home - she created a sanctuary. Fondly known as "Grandma's House," her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. It was there that family and friends gathered, traditions were born, and memories were lovingly woven together. Laura had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, seen, and deeply cared for.
A devoted member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Laura's faith was a steady and guiding presence throughout her life. She lived her beliefs through acts of kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion for others. She also found joy in life's simple pleasures-quiet moments spent with crossword puzzles and anagrams, where her sharp mind and playful spirit shone brightly.
Laura's legacy of love lives on through her devoted daughters, Chelsea (William) Brothers and Tara Rubinstein (Sam Warren); her seven cherished grandchildren, Makayla McCullough (Joseph Lucas), Lindsay Black (Bryson Lewis), Ethan Black, Brylee Rubinstein, William Brothers, Carson Brothers, and Rebecca Brothers; She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Greg Brysacz, Carol (Tom) Allerding, and Bruce (Ermy) Brysacz.
In addition to being predeceased by her parents, Laura's precious great-grandchild, Piper McCullough was with her at the time of her passing, and both Grandma and Piper are, no doubt, laughing and dancing together in their place of eternal peace and rest.
