Kim Meece Obituary

Kim Cabaniss Meece, 66, passed away June 27, 2025. A native of Greer, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Carolyn Cole Cabaniss of Greer, South Carolina and the late Thomas Raymond Cabaniss, Sr. She had a big heart for all animals, especially for those in need. She took care of numerous stray cats, along with their kittens, that would show up throughout the years. She helped to see to their medical needs and cared for them daily until they simply stopped coming or were adopted. Outside of caring for the stray cats and kittens, Kim also loved watching her sunflowers grow- her favorite flower throughout her life, shopping, eating out, and time spent with family and friends. Surviving in addition to her mother are a son, Cole Meece; a brother, Thomas "Tommy" R. Cabaniss, Jr. of Simpsonville, South Carolina; a sister, Debbie Cabaniss (Jeff Drummond) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Kylie, Natalie, and Arianna; and her beloved indoor cat, Nevaeh. Kim was predeceased by a son, Jonathan Cabaniss. The family will be at their respective homes. Online condolences may be made to www.thewoodmortuary.com.
