Kent Humber Obituary

Kent Hamilton Humber, 64, of Mauldin, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born on August 6, 1960, in Birmingham, AL, he was a son of the late Albert and Edna Earle Humber. Kent was a loving husband, proud father, and passionate music aficionado, who lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Kent is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Mary Jane Weathers Humber, and their only son, Nicholas Humber. He also leaves behind his cherished sister, Vanessa Earl. An engineer in the automotive industry, Kent dedicated his career to innovation and excellence, all while finding time for his true passion: music. In his younger years, he was the lead drummer in a local band, a role that showcased his love for rhythm and beat. Kent was also an avid music lover who amassed an extensive collection of vinyl records and CDs, filling his home with the sounds that brought him joy. In keeping with Kent's wishes, he will be cremated, with no formal service held. Kent's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. Here's to a life well-lived and the music that will echo in our hearts forever.
