Kathy Robinson Obituary

Kathy Lee Robinson, 67, field was prepared, and she entered her eternal home Monday April 28, 2025. Kathy was a beloved mother, sister, friend, and light in the lives of all who knew her. Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bobby and Doris Belch Painter. A proud graduate of Hillcrest High School, Kathy went on to dedicate herself to both work and service, spending years at Hardee's and later at Shriners Hospital, where her compassionate spirit touched countless lives. She was also an active and devoted member of the Daughters of the Nile, where her sense of community and service shone brightly. Kathy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved planting flowers, cutting the grass, and never minded getting her hands dirty, her yard was as full of life as she was. Known for her quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and bright spirit, Kathy was the life of the party and lit up every room she entered. She loved her family dearly and made everyone feel welcome, often with a smile, a joke, and a Diet Pepsi in hand. Her love of Flamingos, Little Debbie cakes, and laughter will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by daughter Jennifer Anglin (Shane); sister Kelly Willis (Jimmy); brother David Painter; nephew Jad Willis (Brittany) and their daughter, Piper; nephew Jeremy Willis(Shea) and their children, Sutton and JW; nephew Sam Painter; niece Courtney Jefferson (Derek); several cousins; Fur baby Kaleigh; and special friends Shane Whitaker (Amanda) and their son, Bryson, Teresa Anglin, Emily Whitehead, Sidney Anglin, and Sherri Campbell; as well as her Shriners Hospital Family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Granny and Papa. Her legacy is one of warmth, humor, resilience, and deep love for her family and community. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital Greenville, located at 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605 and the Ronald McDonald House, located at 706 Grove Rd, Greenville, SC 29605. Kathy was a kind, vivacious lady with the energy of the Ever-ready Battery! She was such an encourager and brought enjoyment to Cheryl Frazer who had worked at Shriners.
May God comfort and bless her family!

Kathy was one of the best ladies, hard worker, loved the kids and would always speak her mind. She loved the Lord and her family friends and the Shriners kids. She was a dear friend with many tears shed while discussing issues in my office. She will be truly missed. A special gift for us all from the Lord.

I am a retired nurse from Shriner Hospital who had the pleasure of working with Kathy for many years. Her kindness, energy and enthusiasm was infectious. She went above and beyond to care for staff, patients and family members at the hospital. Each and every time our paths crossed during the work day she had a smile and we shared a laugh! She remained positive during tough times and encouraged us to do the same. The world has truly lost a special person.
