Julio Ruiz Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Julio Constantino Ruiz, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who entered eternal rest on November 25, 2025, at the age of 67.
Julio was born on April 12, 1958, in the Dominican Republic, and he journeyed to Puerto Rico at the age of 12. His family eventually relocated to New York, where Julio attended school and embraced the vibrant culture, becoming an ardent fan of the New York Mets.
In 1999, Julio settled in Greenville, South Carolina, where he continued to build a life full of love and kindness. An intelligent man with a variety of skills, Julio enjoyed a successful career working in the automotive industry as a mechanic.
His warm spirit and caring nature endeared him to many, especially his family, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Julio was particularly close to his sister, Lucia Vasquez, and welcomed her and her family into his home with open arms.
Julio is survived by his children, daughter, Rosaelaine Ruiz De Vin and her husband Daniel; sons, Julio S. Ruiz, Joel Ruiz, Luz del Alba Illucion Ferro; and grandchildren, Jessika Ruiz, Leslie Ruiz, Iszabella Ruiz, Johan Ruiz, Daniela Vin Ruiz, and Scarlett Ruiz; as well as the mother of his children, Mayra Morfa. He is also survived by his sister, Lucia; nieces and nephew, Lucy Vasquez, Cynthia Corniel, Gustavo Vasquez; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julio Ruiz and Rosa Estela Matos; and a brother-in-law, Jose Agustin Vasquez.
In honoring the life of Julio C. Ruiz, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us in celebrating his memory and the impact he had on our lives. A visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Greer.
