Julian Galifi Obituary
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Julian Achille Galifi suffered an epileptic seizure in the bathtub. At the age of fourteen, he left this world far too soon. As he was unconscious, surrounded by warmth, and in a place he loved, we take comfort in the knowledge that his death was surely peaceful. He will be missed beyond measure.
To know Julian is to love him: his radiant smile, his infectious laugh, his tender soul, his quick wit, his infinite humor, and his indelible spirit. Julian was truly extraordinary. He was born in the heart of Rome, in the middle of a thunderstorm, surrounded by love. He was one of the most wanted children to ever grace this earth and was basked in affection, attention, and care.
Julian was a child who could turn a tennis racket into a bubble wand, toy buses into roller skates, and a piece of cardboard into a stairwell sled. He figured out how to subtract into negative numbers all on his own when he was five. He was a member of Mensa, a trophy winning chess player, understood Einstein, loved history, was a critical thinker, an incredible artist, a believer in equality, and had a loving and open nature.
Julian never tried to impress people or be anything other than himself - which was always more than enough. He loved the Phoenix Suns, playing video games with his friends, messaging on "the group chat," reading manga, watching shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy, showing his mother something funny he found online, absorbing films, critiquing animation, playing basketball, going to Disney World, showing off one-handed pushups, jumping to incredible heights, and listening to music on his one hundred forty-five hour playlist.
Most of all, Julian was a true friend, always ready to listen, to make you laugh, and to lend his support. He was an incredible son who worried about his mother and appreciated her sacrifices. He was a loving brother who wasn't above playing Calico Critters with his little sister or building doll houses for her out of cardboard. He was a devoted grandson who was quick with a hug, a favor, or a kind word. And he was an admiring nephew who relished spending time with his uncle.
Julian is survived and missed by his loving mother Stacey Mannari who is incredibly proud of the young man her son was becoming, by his father Pietro Galifi, his sister Victoria Galifi, his maternal grandparents Jim and Debbie Mannari, his maternal uncle Albert Asher Mannari, his paternal aunt Anita Galifi, and his beloved dog Trico. He is also remembered by loving cousins, great aunts and uncles, and dear friends.
Although Julian's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love, laughter, and joy.
