Judie O'Neal Obituary

Judie Ann O'Neal, age 80, of Greenville, beloved wife of Donald O'Neal, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Bertha Mae Rice Thomas.
Judie and Donald shared a beautiful life together. Though married for 15 years, they were devoted partners for 31 years, building a loving home and a life filled with cherished memories.
Judie was a gentle, loving, and kind-hearted woman who lived her life with grace and a deep love for her family, friends, and faith. A talented cook, she found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved, often bringing people together around her table. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and delicious food.
She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent many happy hours tending to her garden, finding peace and purpose in the beauty of nature. Judie also enjoyed her shopping trips and long rides with her beloved husband Donald; they were true riding buddies who rarely missed a chance to hit the road together.
Judie's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved the Lord and found great comfort in reading His word. Her devotion was evident in her gentle spirit and the kindness she showed to everyone she met.
She especially cherished the time she spent riding with her cousin JoAnn, and visiting her Joann's children at college, always supporting and encouraging them in their journeys.
Judie leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and joyful memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her beloved husband are her aunt, Hattie Lindsey; cousin, JoAnn Latimore; brother-in-law, Edward O'Neal; and sister-in-law, Joan O'Neal.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracie Walker.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Piedmont SC.
