Jorge Gutierrez Obituary

Jorge Luis Gutierrez aka George Guti, 45, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born in Bucaramanga, Colombia, he was the beloved son of Elsa Palencia Diaferia and the late Jorge Luis Gutierrez Martinez. George was a man of remarkable strength, discipline, and deep love. His family was the center of his world, and he often reminded his children, "Remember, kids-family first." He truly lived by those words. Known for his dedication to his work, his discipline, and his daily routine, George lived with purpose and passion. He was kind, generous, and hardworking-a man who found joy in giving to others and helping wherever he could. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Elsa Palencia Diaferia, and stepfather, Franco Diaferia; his children, Daniela Gutierrez and Jorge Luis Gutierrez III; his brother, Juan José Gutierrez; sister-in-law, Wendy Stefany Gutierrez; nephew, Gael Gutierrez; and his former wife and lifelong friend, Jennifer Rosado, with whom he shared an enduring bond of love and respect. He will also be lovingly remembered by countless aunts and uncles, most especially his aunt Esperanza, whose devotion and presence in his final days brought great comfort to his family, along with his many cousins, their families, and dear friends both here and in Colombia. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina. His unwavering strength, generous heart, and love for family will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
