Jordan Jefferson Obituary
Apostle Jordan Jefferson, III, affectionately known as "JJ," was born on April 13, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Belle Lofton and Jordon Jefferson, Jr.
He was a proud graduate of Jackson-Olin High School. His passion for learning led him to earn a bachelor's degree in Theology, a master's degree in Theology, and a doctorate degree in Theology. In addition to his ministry and academic achievements, he held a CDL license and was the owner and operator of his own trucking company.
Apostle Jefferson was loving, kind, and full of life. He was known for his humor, transparency, and outspoken personality. He enjoyed playing Spades, Uno, and Jenga, and he loved listening to Jekalyn Carr's song "Major." He was a devoted husband and a proud grandfather who deeply loved his four grandchildren. His favorite sports teams were the Green Bay Packers, the University of Alabama, and the Los Angeles Lakers. His favorite colors were purple, red, and gold.
He served faithfully as the senior pastor and apostle of Breaking Barriers Ministries and as a chaplain. His ministry extended beyond the pulpit as he participated in Dr. Mary's Homeless Organization, The Gathering of Eagles, UBFI Fellowship, Breaking Barriers Academy, and Oneness Fellowship.
He was preceded in death, along with his mother, by his brother, Mark Jefferson.
Left to cherish and celebrate his life are, along with his father, by his loving wife, Lutriana Jefferson of the home; daughters, Jemoni Jefferson of Greenwood, SC, Da'aron Jefferson of Birmingham, AL, Diana Jefferson of Birmingham, AL, and Tishanti (Roshad) Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Ericap Lofton of Birmingham, AL, and Tatiana (Larry Edwards) Evans of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Jeremy Mitchell, Jr., Rhiya Johnson, Roshad Johnson, Jr., and Aurora Johnson; niece, Jaylun (Kris) Lesbikan; nephew, Jekhari Rogers; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Apostle Jordan Jefferson, III will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his laughter that could brighten any room, and his heart that touched countless lives. His legacy of love, leadership, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
On October 14, 2025, Apostle Jefferson transitioned at his home. He will be sorely missed.
