A celebration of life honoring Jewel Rogers, 83, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, LA 71052 with Bro. Richard Tull to officiate. Burial will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Stephen Hankins, Mason Burnett, Matthew Burnett, Reece Hubier, Noel Hicks, and Lyn Rutherford. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Jewel was born June 27, 1941, in Burmingham, Alabama to Charles Hankins and Louise Pitts. She passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025 in Mansfield, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Rogers; brother, Jessie Hankins; children, Sharon Shoalmire, Brad Rogers, Sissy Rogers Burnett, and Jeffrey Rogers; and granddaughter, Aubrey Hubier.
Left to cherish her memory are her stepmother, Betty Richardson; daughter, Jodi Rogers Springer and husband Caleb; sisters, Cathy Whitlock and husband Malcom, and Brenda Smith; brothers, Bob Hankins and wife Candi, and Richard Hankins; grandchildren, Brittany Rogers, Justin Bossier and wife Hannah, Shelby Hebert, Trenton Rogers, Mason Burnett, Matthew Burnett, and Reece Hubier; and great-grandchildren, Seren Bossier and Sadie Lynn Burnett.
Jewel was a beloved member of the community and enjoyed visiting with her regular patrons at Bear Creek Corner. She loved dancing, spending time with family, and tending to her home and property. Jewel had a long career at DeSoto Regional Hospital. She will be missed by many loved ones.
