Jerry Kirk Obituary
A native of Vidalia, Georgia, son of the late James and Atha Sammons Kirk, he was an HVAC technician, but his true occupation should have been a stand-up comedian. Jerry loved fishing, playing golf, playing Wii, car racing, football, blank slate, board games, making people laugh, Dad jokes, and always enjoyed coffee and dessert.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Simmons Kirk of the home; four children, Jeremy Kirk (Paula) of Greer, South Carolina, Joshua Kirk of Greer, South Carolina, Stacy Kirk of Statesboro, Georgia, and Tracy Lewis of Sylvania, Georgia; one sister, Bea Bailes of Florida; five grandchildren, Mikayla, Thomas, Margaret, Anne Marie, and Rusty; numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Billy Simmons of Lyman, South Carolina.
He was also predeceased by one son, Jayson Kirk.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Danny Monroe.
Jerry's favorite Bible verse was Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
