Jeraldine Shealy Obituary

Jeraldine Margaret Shealy, 89, widow of Richard Shealy, died Friday, June 13, 2025. Born in Travelers Rest, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Maggie Reid. Jeraldine and Richard were married for over forty years and created a life full of fun and loving memories. Jeraldine was a lover of life and a person who people enjoyed being around. She made friends easily by using her Southern charm to make others feel welcomed. As a prankster, she will be remembered for her ability to bring a smile to everyone's face. Prior to her retirement, Jeraldine worked as a soldering technician in the chemical industry with Union Carbide. She was also a member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church in Greenville. Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Mike Clamp and Bonnie Shealy and Stephen Layne; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Sue Reid; and many others who loved her. In addition to her husband and parents, Jeraldine was preceded in death by her son, Norman Stone; two sisters, Rachel Coggins and Sue Medlin; and two brothers, Gene and Jack Reid. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Lane Baptist Church, 203 Marion St., Greenville, SC 29611.
